Walls Close In: A Home Confinement Story
The borders of my home were always like a haven. Now they smother, a constant indication of my restricted life. Days run into each other, marked only by the click of the timepiece and the gnawing emptiness in my chest. Every whisper from outside is a cruel reminder of what I miss.

Living on Lockdown
Life as we experienced it has drastically shifted. The world beyond our doors is a ghost of its former bustle. We are now stuck within the limits of our homes, forced to adjust to a new reality. The days run together, marked by the rhythm of online meetings, streaming media, and baking. We yearn for the simple pleasures that were once assumed for granted: a hike in the park, a cup of tea with friends, or even just a conversation without a screen separating us.
This new world has created challenges, but it has also unveiled unexpected qualities within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more understanding, more resourceful, and more grateful for the mundane things in life. As we navigate this unknown territory, we must stay hopeful that brighter days are near.
Six Feet From Freedom
Life behind bars is a harsh reality. Every day, you face boundaries that feel like an unbreakable wall. The world outside seems so close, yet it's separated by just a mere six feet.
Sometimes, the pressure of those bars feels suffocating. You crave freedom with every fiber of your being. Each new day serves as a constant echo that you're imprisoned.
But even in the darkest moments, there's a flicker of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be liberated. That day might seem distant, but it's a dream worth holding onto.
Confined Liberation
The allure of freedom can be a powerful force. Yet, paradoxically, it can also lead to restriction. This occurs when the very notion with freedom becomes manipulated, transforming into a mechanism for control and suppression.
Authentic freedom requires not only the absence for external constraints but also the development of internal spirit. When this inner base is lacking, even within a society that preaches freedom, individuals can find themselves trapped within the boundaries of their own beliefs.
Finally, the true measure for freedom lies in our ability to transcend the barriers that restrict our potential, both externally and internally.
